Olga has confirmed that this week the team purchased and delivered 28 pallets that included tinned meats, pasta, and tea valued at approximately $30k. A delivery has been scheduled for Monday-Wednesday of next week with 26 pallets of goods valued at $46k.
We have been overwhelmed at the financial support and response our project has received, initially from friends and family, but increasingly, from folks unknown to us, who are filled with empathy and kindness, and want to help those who are suffering. You are all a constant reminder that there are far more good people in the world than bad. ❤️
As many of you will recall, when we started this effort 6 weeks ago, we didn’t expect it to last more than a few days. As much as our team was eager to ‘pass the baton’ to the aid experts, our work has continued due to the slower than expected arrival of established NGOs and their limited ability to deliver aid into Ukraine. Our current plan is to continue accepting donations on the platform until Friday, April 23rd, by which time we believe all funds raised will be spent/committed. Please continue to pass the word about this important work until then as we stand by our commitment that each dollar raised will be delivered as humanitarian aid into Ukraine.
